El Servicio municipal de agua de La Muela establece 10 puntos de suministro alternativo para abastecer a la población

The fault that has caused the supply cut-off to the population has occurred in one of the pumps of Yesa's water supply managed by the Sociedad Estatal de Aguas de la Cuenca de España (ACUAES) and is completely unrelated to the municipal water service of the locality

The municipal water service of La Muela is going to install 10 alternative supply points to supply the population, after a failure caused by one of the pumps in the Yesa water supply network left the entire municipality of The Muela.

Aqualia, a company hired by the State Water Company of the Spanish Basin (ACUAES) to manage the Yesa water supply network to various towns in the vicinity of Zaragoza, has informed the La Muela City Council that the supply may be restored to throughout the day.

Given this situation and despite being a fault other than the municipal service, the City Council of La Muela and Aquara, the company that manages this service, have established 10 alternative supply points to supply the residents that will be available at around 1:00 p.m. Its location will be as follows:

  • 3 points in Aragón avenue- Plaza Moncayo (Urcamusa area)
  • 3 points in the Corazón de Jesús square (next to the Civil Guard barracks)
  • 2 points on Calle Mayor (near the San Roque nursing home)
  • 2 points on the Reina Sofía promenade

Likewise, and with the purpose of paying attention to the most vulnerable groups, Aquara staff has moved this morning to the nursing home to provide drinking water to residents until the aforementioned points are enabled.

Compliance with hygiene-sanitary measures for the prevention of covid-19 will be facilitated at all alternative supply points, with dispensers of hydro-alcoholic gels being available to users.

From the municipal water service of La Muela they regret the inconvenience caused and ask the neighbors to keep the safety distance at the collection points.
